I am the ghost of a better man
Far from a scene you've seen before
Look into my eyes, no turning back
Here we finish this chronicle
I am the page
I am the ink
I am the only author
Where my words will shape the world
Herein I remain a prisoner
My own shadow looms over me
Everywhere where I can be
Is a seat already taken
Taken by my ghost, you see
Stories carry on
Even long after the author's gone
Death, mark of a new chapter
And thus new tales spawn

Divided I have become
